Expansion and effectiveness of private tutoring
A study carried out by Christoph Mischo and Ludwig Haag from the University of Mannheim and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany has indicated that academic performance and motivational aspects are notably enhanced through tutoring. This conclusion is reinforced by a study involving 904 students in Luxembourg, where 23% of the respondents disclosed ongoing participation in tutoring sessions, primarily focused on mathematics. Further research could delve into the specific methodologies employed within tutoring sessions and their correlation with academic outcomes, providing insights into the most effective tutoring strategies for different subjects and student demographics.
